Spain walking tourThis is the perfect way to discover Catalonia’s fascinating history, culture and excellent cuisine. With its gorgeous beaches, rugged coastline, charming stone villages and pine covered hills, the Costa Brava is an unforgettable walking destination.

The route begins in the village of Torroella de Montgrí. You climb the Begur massif, to the village of Begur, with the magnificent panoramic view. Then you walk along the coast to the nice nucleus of Tamariu and then continue Southbound, for the wonderful “Caminos de Ronda” along the sea. You visit ancient fishing villages, such as Llafranc and Calella de Palafrugell, which still preserve their local culture.The route finishes at Sant Pol beach.

Day 1: Arrival in Torroella de Montgrí - Visit the medieval town of Torroella de Montgrí.

Day 2: Torroella de Montgrí - Torroella de Montgrí

Circular route. Visiting the Montgrí Massif, situated next to the Mediterranean Sea with a fantastic view of the small bays in the area. At the highest point (200m)there is a panoramic view of the sea and the Empordà area.

Day 3: Torroella de Montgrí - Begur

On day 3 the trail leads us southwards, following the coast and climbing the Begur Massif (height 220 m) with its picturesque town and its medieval castle.

Day 4: Begur - Calella de Palafrugell

Stroll along the old coastal paths, where you can enjoy the marvellous coastal countryside. Lodging in the old fishing village of Calella de Palafrugell, which still retains its original charm, in a cliff top hotel, with a magnificent view over the village of Calella.

Day 5: Calella de Palafrugell - Palamós/La Fosca

Today's route goes through the lovely Castell cove, after rounding the wooded area of Cap Roig (height 130 m), from where we can get an excellent panoramic view.

Day 6: Palamós/La Fosca - Sant Feliu de Guíxols-Sant Pol beach

This coastal route passes the Palamós bay, with its fishing port and delicious seafood. You reach the small beach of Sant Pol where your lodging is right on the beautiful beach.

Day 7: Departure

These tours are a fully organized vacation for the independent traveler who wants the freedom to walk at his or her own pace. You'll have complete support behind the scenes. Our Spain representative will meet you at the beginning of your tour for an orientation. You will receive a packet with detailed route instructions, maps, suggestions for sights to visit along the route and emergency support phone numbers. You can take a spontaneous detour and always feel secure that your hotel room will be waiting for you. You will be able to travel at your own pace without a guide or support vehicle to hurry you along or to slow you down. Your luggage will be transported each day to the next accommodation, which will be reserved and prepaid. You don't need to worry, as emergency support is just a phone call away.
